Grab your coat and get your hat Leave your worries on the doorstep Just get back your feet To the sunny side of the street Can’t you hear the pitter-pat And that happy tune is your step Life can be so sweet On the sunny side of the street I used to walk in the shade Get my blues on parade But now I’m not afraid ‘Cos my rover crossed over If I’d never have a cent I’d be rich like Rockefeller, babe I’ve got gold dust down my feet On the sunny side of the street

Shine 04:05
Let’s swing it now! Shine won’t you let it shine My heart is glittering so bright Fly won’t you come to fly I’ve got wings to fly so far away It’s time to forget the time and you’ll get fully satisfied And you, you… free your chains and rise, but… Don’t leave my lonely days without… Don’t leave my gloomy days without… Don’t leave my sunny days without your shine Shine, won’t you come to shine My heart is glittering tonight Fly, come on join and fly Got wings to fly all by your side It’s time to forget the time and you’ll get fully satisfied And you, you… free your chains and rise, but… Don’t leave my lonely days without… Don’t leave my gloomy days without… Don’t leave my sunny days without your shine

My syncopated man Plays the blues like no one can When he sits down at that piano When he starts in a place New song right in the sway You’ll be listening, you’ll be listening And you’re going to start to whistle it He’s got a way that’s all his own Probably the best musician ever known You never heard that syncopation Had a roots key he don’t shine Besides the devil loving man of mine His music, much as they hate him They just can’t appreciate him That’s why I called him my syncopated man

I made my decision I found my way Though I had no place to go I said: “I’m gonna miss you, but I’m gonna leave you” It was the best thing for both I did my best and I had no rest It wasn’t easy to accept Now I must be strong I need to go on and live a life on my own On my own, I need myself, I need you and I need it all I’m so alone, I don’t have eyes, don’t have arms I need yours I said: “I’m gonna miss you, but I’m gonna leave you” It was the best thing for both Now I must be strong I need to go on and live a life on my own On my own, I don’t have eyes, don’t have arms I need yours Time has gone, I don’t know why If I tried what was wrong On my own, I don’t have eyes, don’t have arms I need yours

about
